The
Customs
Convention on
the Temporary
Importation for Private Use of Aircraft and Pleasure Boats 1956 (the "Convention") provides for the temporary admission into a contracting state's territory, free of import duties and restrictions, of aircraft and pleasure boats owned by private use (Article 2

It also provides for the importation of fuel contained in the supply tanks of such aircraft and pleasure boats free of import duties and restrictions, under certain conditions (Article 3) and the temporary admission, free of import duties and restrictions, of component parts for repair (Article. 4). The parties also agree to certain formalities for issuing temporary importation papers (Article 6). These conform to the standard forms contained in Annexes 1 and 2 to this Convention (Article 7).
