1. Please refer to Hong Kong telno 1720 (which, following Chris Sainty's letter to you of 8 May, I assume you had some part in expediting). I have asked the ODA to set in hand acceptance to the amendment to introduce mandatory contributions on your behalf and to advise about procedures by which you can pay your contribution.

Please refer also to Chris Sainty's letter to you of 31 May and Judith Usher's of 22 May. We often receive from the ODA papers on APPPC or FAO for onward transmission to Hong Kong (I enclose a further two such documents). It would be helpful if you could let us know who in HKG deals with these organisations on a day to day basis (I assume it is not you). We will then pass the contact name to ODA so that they can send on papers direct.
