In the Ordinance, unless the context requires otherwise "outer space" is the space beyond the major portion of the Earth's atmosphere and

it includes the moon and

other celestial bodies. "Space object" is an object which is beyond, is intended to go beyond, or has been beyond, the major portion of the Earth's atmosphere and

it includes the component parts of a space object, its launch vehicle and the

component parts of that. "Authority" means the Space Objects Authority appointed

under Section 5. below.
