8.7.1 Manually Directed Tracking Antenna Control

The following abilities will be demonstrated:

i)

:

Ability to set the ACU in manual position and drive the antenna in azimuth and read directly from ACU the azimuth angle.

Ability to set the ACU in manual position and drive the antenna in elevation and read directly from ACU the elevation angle.

8.7.2 Steptracking Antenna Control

The following abilities will be demonstrated:

Ability to set the ACU in demonstrate satellite tracking.

Ability to

performance will be demonstrated during subsystem on-site acceptance tests. Azimuth and elevation cuts existing satellite will be made beyond first side lobes.

8.8.2 Antenna EIRP

Antenna EIRP will be verified using the following tests. An unmodulated uplink signal level will be measured via the transmit coupler for both the nominal and maximum settings of the FM Modulator output level. The 70-MHz signal will be upconverted without the "sweep" to produce a CW signal for these tests.

At the conclusion of these tests, the 70-MHz signal will then be upconverted with the sweep to show that the gain flatness and the sweep range as measured at the transmit

the specification. This test will be performed at a given upconverter output level setting and output frequency.

i)

HPA 1 will be driven from Command Upconverter 1 at the DISH antenna command frequency. The saturated output power of IPA 1 will be measured. The test will be repeated using IPA 1 and Command Upconverter 2 at the OMNI frequency. The maximum power will also
