ARTICLE 15
CGWIC'S ASSISTANCE REGARDING TECHNICAL SECURITY
CGWIC undertakes that its objective is to provide the Client with the Services and that CGWIC will, at no time, seek to obtain any of the technology from the Client's Payload. CGWIC will use its best efforts to supply, or to procure through other relevant organizations, such reasonable security measures for the Payload and ancillary equipment from the point of entry into China as the Client may require or as are imposed on the Client by its Associates or by any relevant Government, and in particular:
(a) CGWIC will be responsible for obtaining exemption
from examination of the Client's Payload and ancillary equipment by the customs authorities of China when the Payload and ancillary equipment enters China, provided the Client provides all documentation as is reasonably required (having regard to the requirements imposed upon the Client by the government of the country of origin) by the customs authorities.
(b) CGWIC will arrange for all permissions or consents
required by the Client for the provision by the Client of such person(s) as the Client or its Associates reasonably require to supervise and protect the Payload after its entry into China, during transport to the Launch Base, and while it is present at the Launch Base. (If requested to do so by the Client, CGWIC is willing to assist in such protection by assigning any necessary personnel that the Client requires).
(c) The testing of the Payload at the Launch Base will be conducted entirely by the Client's technical personnel in the facilities provided by CGWIC. (If requested to do so by the Client, CGWIC is willing to assist with such testing work.)
(d) In the event that the Payload or any of the Client's
ancillary equipment is transported out of China for whatever reason, this Paragraph 15.1 and its Sub- paragraphs shall again be applicable and CGWIC will be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and approvals and will not do or permit anything to be done which prejudices the removal of such equipment from China.
