how I might learn about the contribution made to it by Chinese lawyers?

4.

I arrive in Hongkong on Monday evening 9 July, returning to London on Sunday evening 22 July. I hope to travel to Beijing on the morning of Saturday 14 July, departing back to Hongkong on Cathay at lunchtime on Thursday 19th. I look forward very much to seeing you all again, and wonder if you would let me ask if you can help on two matters:

5.

[1] First, I hope that there will be a programme arranged by officials, but is there anyone in particular whom you feel I should meet in Hongkong? If you could let me know, I would be grateful.

[2] This is a shoestring job, I'm afraid, so could any of you recommend a good cheapish hotel, somewhere with a bit of life, where I can stay and have some meetings if necessary?

I do know that Hongkong has had to contend for years with very many nosey-parker visits, as well as occasional visitors such as myself, more than a few of whom are probably a bit long on rhetoric. In today's circumstances, that must be particularly galling to many people. I feel strongly that this visit should be used to identify useful steps forward for a possible project on which I seek the views of others, and I would appreciate your help, and that of others, in making the visit a busy one.
