the
question
that has
been
aired
publicly of
the
consistency
between
the Basic Law and
certain
provisions
of the
Constitution of the People's
Republic of China.

We are aware that various suggestions have been
made to ensure that no question will arise in the future as
Basic Law and would be grateful the validity of the

intentions are as regards clarifying this matter.
