When I last saw Edmund Ho (Vice President of the Macau Legislative Assembly, Vice Chairman of BLCC and BLDC, Tai Fung Bank, Ho Yin's son etc) I asked him how active he thought Ji Pengfei still was on Hong Kong and Macau affairs.
2. Ho replied that Ji did very little now and would soon be retired, possibly to be replaced by Lu Ping. He had the strong feeling that more and more responsibility for Hong Kong and Macau affairs was being exercised directly by Li Peng. Ho did not think this process would change with Ji Pengfei's retirement.
Ho then (accurately) predicted Zhou Ding's demise and a larger role for Zhou Nan in Macau affairs.
