MARTIN GILBERT BARROW, OBE
Martin Barrow was born in the UK in 1944 and is of British
nationality. He is an old pupil of Harrow.
He has been
resident in Hong Kong since 1983 and is a prominent Hong Kong businessman and politician. He is Deputy Chairman of
Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd and Director of both Jardine
Fleming Holdings Ltd and Jardine Matheson Co Ltd. He is an
appointed member of the Legislative Council (since 1988) and
a member of OMELCO. He is also Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourist Association Board of Management.
He is married to Noriko Koike and has two children. He
speaks Mandarin and Japanese. His interests include ski-ing, hiking, photography and Chess. He is a frequent
visitor to London, and the FCO.
