DECISION
The Council ADVISED and the Governor ORDERED
that
-
the Police Force (Amendment) Bill 1990
and the Independent
Commission Against
Corruption (Amendment) Bill 1990, at
Annexes A and B to the memorandum,
should
be
introduced
into
the
Legislative
Council.
However, the
Police Force
(Amendment)
Bill 1990
should
be
amended to require the
Commissioner
of Police
to
destroy the
records of persons cautioned by a police
officer of the rank of superintendent or
above as to his/her future conduct, when
that
person
provided
reaches the age of 17
that in the meantime, they have
maintained a clear record.
