Amendment
(a) In section 2 in the definition of "Director" repeal “Nursing Director of the Hospital Services Department" and substitute "head of the nursing service in the Department of Health".
(b) In section 3(2) add after paragraph (da)—
"(db) one member to be nominated by the Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990) and appointed by the Governor;".
In section 2(1)——
46
(a) repeal the definition of "Director" and substitute-
"Director" means the Director of Health;"; and (b) in the definition of "hospital" add "or a public hospital within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990)” after "Crown".
In the Schedule add at the end-
"58. The Hospital Authority (including any committee
established by the Hospital Authority).”.
In regulation 2 in the definition of "disabled person" repeal "Director of Hospital Services" and substitute "Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990)”.
In regulation 47(5) repeal "Director of Hospital Services" and substitute "Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990)”.

"SCHEDULE
1. The Fund shall be administered by the Hospital Authority (hereinafter called the Authority) within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990).
2.
The Fund may be used at the discretion of the Authority to provide monetary grants for the benefit of needy patients.
3. (1) The Fund shall consist of all moneys donated, subscribed or bequeathed thereto from time to time.
(2) All moneys accruing to the Fund shall be paid to the Authority which shall credit such moneys to an account entitled "Deposits-Samaritan Fund, Hospital Authority".
