International & Commonwealth Section has/ asked to collate relevant information from the various Sections of RAD and they have kindly provided material on Africa, Bahamas, Malaya and Aden which I now attach Middle East Section have also commented that Mandatory Palestine does not offer many precedents, although Palestinians had Mandate Government passports. Pensions are still paid (by ODA) to former civil servants both in the UK and locally. Nationality problems whether the recipient is Arab or Jewish, appear not to have surfaced. Years of pensionable service is what counts.

3. As you will see, the papers attached to Ms Kazer's minute on Malaya also include a note on pensions which may be of some help. African Section also have material on pensions should you wish to pursue this avenue in more detail.
