When Sir Derek March called on our Secretary of State recently to say farewell on his retirement from the Service, he mentioned that he was trying to find post retirement work in connection with the airport and port development in Hong Kong. Mr Hurd commented that it would be very helpful if Sir Derek could find a job in this connection.
I have passed this on to David Wilson in Hong Kong, who suggested I should contact you. Given Derek's experience of Hong Kong and trade, I would have thought that there could well be a role for him to play.
