(Sing Tao) wishes to invite me to lunch
in the near future. I imagine that I have entered her
"radar screen" as a result of having received two Hong Kong policemen today to hear their grievances about pay and
conditions.
2. I should be grateful for your advice on whether I should accept Miss Wong's invitation and, if so, on what terms. Do you think it would be sensible for you to come along as my "minder"? I am sure Miss Wong's entertainment allowance could stretch to that; and I would welcome it if you thought it necessary and appropriate.
