As an alternative to children visiting their parents in Hong Kong, the cheapeset available economy class return air passage, without stopovers, from Hong Kong to the country in which the children are being educated may be provided for an officer or his/her spouse to enable him/her to visit their children if, on the day the journey begins, more than one child is in education in the overseas country to which the passage is provided. Such a visit should normally cover part of a major school holiday (i.e. Summer holiday). Travelling expenses under CSR 1420 are payable but baggage allowances under CSR 1460 are not payable when a passage of this

kind is taken.
