I refer to your captioned memos and again make a formal application to be permitted to retire midnight on 30.4.1990 and to be immediately re-employed in the same rank on contract terms for two years plus accumulated leave..

To assist in Force planning, my intentions remain as declared at para. 7 of my memo of the 8th September 1988 in which I indicated that, providing the requirements to leave at the age of 55 remain as now, I shall be seeking to leave Hong Kong in March 1992 using my accumulated leave balance to carry me past my 55ty birthday.
