The Chargé might be asked to explain in detail Poland's wishes as to the opening of a Consulate in Hong Kong. As
Hong Kong are unlikely to consider favourably a Consulate, certainly initially, he might be asked to comment on whether a trade office might not be more appropriate. An idea of the timing and the sort of size of representation would also be helpful. We could agree to pass on this material to the Hong Kong Government, with a favourable gloss.
