The Embassy of the Philippines presents its compliments to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and upon instruction of the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, has the honour to inform the latter that the Government of the Philippines proposes to appoint Mr. Antonio P. Villamor as Consul General in Hongkong. Mr. Villamor's curriculum vitae

is as follows:

Born 29 January 1934 in Masbate, Masbate, Philippines. Graduated with Bachelor of Laws degree, University of the Philippines, 1957; Member of the Integrated Bar of the

Philippines.

Passed the Foreign Service Officer Examination, 1975. Worked with the Department of Foreign Affairs as: Attache, Philippine Embassy, Tokyo, 1961-65; Attache and Administrative Officer, Philippine Embassy, Madrid, 1973-79; Assistant and then Acting Director, Visa Division, Home Office; Third Secretary and Vice Consul then Second Secretary and Consul, Philippine Embassy, Tokyo 1981-82; Second Secretary and Consul, Philippine Embassy, Jeddah, 1982-86; Second Secretary and Consul and then First Secretary and Consul General, Philippine Embassy, Washington D.C., 1986-87; Director, Visa Division and Refugee Coordinator, Office of Consular Services, Home Office, 1988 - present.

Married, with one daughter.

If the proposed appointment is acceptable to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Embassy of the Philippines will deeply appreciate the grant of provisional recognition to Mr. Antonio P. Villamor as Consul General of the Philippines in Hongkong pending the receipt of his Consular Commission.
