if they fall into one of the following categories:-

Persons entering for genuine business (without numerical restriction).
Entertainers of high international repute.
purposes
Sportsmen or sports teams when they have achieved a very high international reputation or been drawn to play in Hong Kong as part of a major international competition or tournament.

Technicians
locally.

Marine Superintendents in exceptional cases where substantial programme of Sovbloc ship repairs is being undertaken in Hong Kong yards.

Crew members of Sovbloc merchant ships on genuine commercial visits (Hong Kong is obligated by international conventions to grant shore leave).
UN officials on UN business.
Conference and Trade Fair Delegates attending events in Hong Kong (no numerical restriction provided numbers are not disproportionate).
Apart from those mentioned above, entry for other purposes, such as social visits, enrolment as a local etc. is not normally allowed.
