MEETING BETWEEN BBC, ODA AND FCO
Elizabeth Smith, Controller of the BBC's World Service English Services held a small meeting on 31 January for the ODA (Roger Iredale), the BBC (Julian Amey, Elizabeth Smith) and the FCO (myself) to talk informally about ELT priorities, problems and
prospects. I had suggested such a meeting last October when
Information Department's examination of the BBC's World Service
English by Radio took place. Both the BBC and the ODA said
