Britain-Hong Kong Educational Trust

Preamble ('whereas ......')

The British Council (the Council) has as one of its objects to develop and maintain close and harmonious relations between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Hong Kong through cooperation in education, In science, technology, English teaching and the arts. furtherance of this object and in order to enable funds to be raised from the public and from companies and other bodies for the said object the Council wishes to establish a Trust Fund registered in Hong Kong and has allocated a sum of not less than £700,000 to form the basis of the Fund.

Object of the Trust

The promotion of education learning and research in Hong Kong and collaboration between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Hong Kong in these matters by such charitable actions as the Trustees may decide including but not limited to the award of scholarships, fellowships, bursaries and prizes, the granting of research

educationists and other awards, payments for academics

specialists from Britain to visit Hong Kong, all for the above object.
