Those in list A are more advanced than those in list B, and have proposals written for them and in some cases funding agreed or in train. List B proposals are still in the formative stage.

has a good deal to offer in many of these fields and could gain from cooperative research work done in Hong Kong.

If British funding for the project were available, the British Council, in conjunction with HKUST, would identify an appropriate area of research for the targetting of the British contribution.
