You may wish to know that one of the 1988 awardees, Miss Helen Lee Ho-yan, has gained permission from Cambridge University to continue her research programme in Hong Kong starting from the second term of the academic year 1989-90. Accordingly, she has not required any further payment of maintenance allowance from the scholarship and Cambridge has refunded two thirds of her tuition fees to us. These changes have been taken into account in calculating the total expenditure of the scheme for 1989-90.
