Many thanks for copying to me your minute of 30 March.
2. I am sure you are aware of the funding position but, to avoid any misunderstanding, I should record that there are no additional FCO DW funds available to finance an increase in the Hong Kong Fee Support Scheme. Any increase announced by Mr Maude would have to be funded from the Scholarships sub-head in 1991/92 and beyond, whether or not we are successful in the 1990 PES round in securing additional FCOSAS funds.
