The participants were recruited by an ECV LUC'. The service included all arrangements from HO CHI MINH CITY, S.VN to TAI PING, CHINA. They travelled in small groups and had to wait several days at HONG GAI and DONG XING for the others. These groups left S.VN by bus and reached HONG GAI in three days. They then headed for MONG GAI and crossed the border for DONG XING (1) by small boats. All of them stayed at (KIK kk1471) where they came across 20 to 30 VBP from S.VN. of 30-4-90. A pre-arranged sailing junk was given to them upon' payment of RMB$ 7000. They set sail at noon and reached Hong Kong before dark.
