This group of 52 left HO CHI MINH by train on 9-4-90. After a stopover at HA NOI, they reached HONG GAI where they met the organizer, a VN/M, called 'Third Uncle' ( a total sum of 6 taels of gold for providing an escape boat and a coxswain.

All of them, including the organizer, set sail at HONG GAI on 12-4-90. Two days later, they came to JIANG PING ( 21 ) of China. After arrival, they hired another Chinese steersman while the organizer and the original coxswain left. During their two days' stay, the boatmaster admitted a VN/M (Group II) and a minor CII (Group III) at a payment of RMB $400. Moreover, another CII (Group IV) was also allowed for joint voyage at a cost of three gold rings. This newly combined group of 56 continued their voyage on 15-4-90. They called at QI SHUI CER

Group II & III

He was allowed to join Group I's exodus at a cost of three gold rings. Thereafter, he stayed all along with Group I until his arrival in Hong Kong.
