Description of Voyage
Boatmaster : LUONG CUN SAU
The trip was organized by three ECV/M, HA HUNG HUU (

HA HUNG QUYEN (1J F) and 'PHUC' ( ), 0.1 tael of gold was collected from each participant before departure. They set off at HO CHI MINH by train. Brief stops were made at HANOI and HONG GAI. All parties were escorted to DONG XING (
) via MONG GAI where they crossed the border by small boat at a fare of RMB $5 per head. They then waited at DONG XING HUA QIAO LU SHE (東興華僑旅舍 ) for the onward arrnagement. The escapees moved again on 5-5-90. They made stop at QINZHOU (14 ) and reached TAI PING (太平 ) two days later. There, 0.2 tael 0.4 tael of gold was collected from each adult before a sailing junk was provided to them on 8-5-90. The Group of 16 left China without delay and reached Hong Kong waters in several
hours.
