This boat has not been towed to GIRC. No phot is available.

Group I comprising 27 Vietnamese departed HO CHI MINH in separate groups by bus to HAI PHONG. A group of 19 arrived at HAI PHONG on 22-4-90 and then to HONG GAI by bus on 24-4-90. During their one-day rest, they encountered a VN/M courier who subsequently led them to DONG XING() of China via the hill path of HAI NINH at a cost of 0.1 tael of gold per head. Another C/M courier in name of 'CHENG' ( ) promised to escort to GUANG DONG (廣東 ) and provide an escape boat for their onward exodus at a charge of RMB $900 per head. However, they had to wait for the rest of the members till 2-5-90. Thereafter, this group of 27 were led to NA LI HUA QIAO FARM, QIN ZHOU, GUANG XI, CHINA (IN FETY AR Hop 5 + 15 +

where a boatmate met his relative and was requested to take along with a Vietnamese boy (Group II). After a 4-day stay, the courier escorted them to SHA JING (#) where they got on a pre-arranged Chinese boat and set sail immediately on the morning of 7-5-90. Eventually, they arrived in Hong Kong in the same day afternoon without touching Macao.
