The junk has not been towed

to GIRC. No photo is available.

The participants were recruited by 3 ECVS named DUONG, CUONG and TU.. Each of them had to pay 0.1 tael of gold for the escort service. The journey began at HO CHI MINH CITY by train. They travelled in small groups to avoid any official inspection. They passed HANOI, HAI PHONG and had a one week rest in HONG GAI. With the help of 'TU' only, the groups were able to cross the border via MONG GAI without difficulty. It took another week before they could gather again at DONG XING HUA QIAO LU SHE (東興華僑旅舍. All of them were then escorted to DONG XING HUASHI FARM (東興華石林場)

where they stayed until 11-5-90. It was at HUASHI whérè group II joined the exodus. Two friends of TỤ were requested to work as couriers. They were
