The boatmaster made use of her own boat to flee HAI PHONG, N.VN with her family and friends on 5-5-90. They sailed by day and rested by night at sea until they reached XU WEN
) on 11-5-90. During their one-day shelter, they came across 4 Vietnamese (Group II) whose escape boat had been abandoned because of engine problem. Driven by sympathy, the boatmaster admitted Group II on board unconditionally. Then, the combined group of 12 resumed their voyage and took 4 days to call at HAI LING DAO (za pr > where they had to stop 4 days owing to typhoon. Thereafter, they continued to sail non-stop until they arrived in Hong Kong on 21-5-90.
