This group left NO CHI MINH, S.VN by bus for HA NOI, N.VN at 0600 hrs. on 3-1-90. After spending 1 night at IIA NOI on 6-1-90, they proceeded to HONG GAI for another night. The next day, they went to JIA COI and then moved to MONG CAI where they crossed the Sino-Vietnamese border through the check point and reached DONG
XING (東興), CHINA on 9-1-90. They immediately went to HUASHI FARM, FANG CHENG GUANG X1 (so Ya no tk€1⁄2 M) to visit their friends and relatives in the

hope of getting assistance for their onward voyage, On 21-2-90, they went to GUANG MING HUA QIAO FARM, BAO AN VIAN, GUANG DONG V.) for arrange- ment to Hong Kong. Under the help of a Chinese man in name of 'All BAO' (E), they bought a Chinese motorized junk at a cost of 8000 RMB at BAO AN ( Z ). 26-2-90, at 2100 hrs., they all boarded the junk at BAO AN and sailed for Hong Kong. But after sailing for about a mile, their junk went aground. They stayed there for a night waiting for high tide. At 1030 hrs. on 27-2-90, they set sail again and eventually arrived at Hong Kong in the afternoon.
