These 24 VBP left DONG NAI, S.VN. in three separate groups in the beginning of March this year. They went to HO CHI MINH CITY and took a train to HA NOI. After a brief stopover, they moved onwards to HONG GAI, HA COI, MONG CAI and finally arrived at DONG XING (
), CHINA on 13-3-90. stayed at a local hostel ( 4 kq & # 1 ) for about one week during which they encountered a Vietnamese courier. The courier charged each of them 10,000 dongs for taking them to GUANG ZHOU (+1 ). The group was then

). On 27-3-90, they reached GUANG MING HUA QIAO FARM, BAO AN XIAN ( 7 9 4 7 4) where a relative of the boatmaster resided. They purchased a boat (by which they arrived) at 8,500 RMB. They also met the ECVIIs of Group II who agreed to work as steersman on board. As a result, the party of 27 set sail on
