Group II
This group of 4 were ECVIIs from China. They migrated to China from Vietnam in 1978-1979 and settled there. On 2-4-90, they met Group I and shared the same itinerary with them.
Additional Information
1.
Only one had knowledge of the screening policy.
2. They had no knowledge of the followings :
(a) mandatory/forced repatriation.
He knew about it by letter.
(b)

that they would be placed on a deserted island after their arrival in Hong Kong. whether the Sino-Vietnamese border was closed or control tightened.
3. All eleven VBP were land-crossers from Vietnam to China.
4. They had not encountered PRC official throughout their voyage to Hong Kong.

Total No. of unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 : 2 (2B).
6. No. of Ex-serviceman/Policeman/Serviceman : NIL.
7. They chose to come to Hong Kong instead of other countries due to safety reason.
