This group of 9 comprising clansmen and relatives fled HO CHI MINH CITY, S.VN. on 22-3-90 by train. They reached HA NOI on 25-3-90 and eventually came to HAI NINH on 28-3-90. They crossed the border by boat on the next day and arrived

There, they purchased a motorized sailing junk at RMB $2,300 and set off on 10-4-90. Due to very strong wind, they stopped at an unknown beach for a night. They sailed to Macao on the next day and met another VN junk (i.e. VRD 47/90). They subsequently managed to arrive in Hong Kong on 12-4-90.
