This group of 73 was composed of 20 families and 12 individuals scnt' form various provinces of Vietnam, namely HO CHI MINH CITY, THUAN HAI, CHU LONG, KHANH HOA, DONG NAI, KIEN GUANG and PHA TRANG of South Vietnam, HGHĨA BỊ of Central Vietnam and HAI PHÒNG of North Vietnam. They were all recruited by the same syndicate in Vietnam in Oct. 1989. Most of them had relatives in other countries and thus became the target of the syndicate members. Each adult had pay, ranging from 0.2 to 0.5 tael of gold to the organizers and were informed that they had to reach CAM PHA, QUANG NINH on or before 15-11-1989 for further
