APOINTMENTS FOR LORD CAITHNESS

Lord Caithness' Private Office have informed me that
Lord Caithness will meet with Sir Idris Pearce, the
President of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors at
9 10 am on November. Sir Idris is going to Hong Kong on 13 November and has asked Lord Caithness to give him a general briefing on Hong Kong covering the usual range of matters and also on Hong Kong/China relations.

Incase you are not aware of it, Lord Caithness is having lunch with Sir Adrian Swire on 13 November. Sir Adrian will
be accompanied by Duncan Bluck and former Chairmen of Cathay Pacific. Lord Caithness' Private Office have asked for briefing covering the "concerns and interests of the Swire Group" for Lord Caithness' box on 9 November. The subject area for
this would appear to be ASAS and other matters of general concern to the Swire group which I suggest we need to telegraph Hong Kong about.
