The Junior Folice Officers' Association of the Royal Hong Kong Police Force has recently learnt of the proposed nationality package for Hong Kong people as announced by the British Government. According to the proposal, about 50,000 Hong Kon: households will be granted the right of aboie in the U.K. However, the details of the points system based on which allocation is to be made will not be disclosed until a few months later.

Our Association feels very disappointed and regretful that the proposed nationality package fails to fulfil the wishes of our members (including our retired members).

At our Executive
we are serious about it and will hold firmly to it. Committee meeting held on 7.12.82, we approved the setting us of a "Concem Group on the Right of Abode in the U.. ex Our embers" to deal with all matters relating to the right of abode issue and to make quick response when
necessary.
