POSSIBLE VISIT BY EXCO MEMBERS TO LONDON
1.
Sir P Cradock told me today that he and Mr Powell had had a brief word with Sir D Wilson after his meeting with the Prime Minister on 28 June. The Governor had proposed bringing a group of EXCO members to London for a meeting with the Prime Minister. This could either be a meeting in the Cabinet Room or a more informal occasion involving a meal. Sir P Cradock said that either format was possible. He commented that the Governor seemed quite enthusiastic about the idea.
2.
I seem to recall that we have heard of this suggestion before in connection with the Trade Development Council dinner which the Prime Minister has agreed to address towards the end of the year. Did the Governor mention it to you or Mr Burns? He did not raise it with me.
