I regret that, due to printing deadlines, any returns received after this date cannot be included in the following schedule. Visits completed before 1 October need not be included.

All inward and outward visits by Heads of Government and Ministers, outward visits by the Lord Mayor of London, the Speaker of the House of Commons and inward visits by members of foreign Royal Families should be included. (Royal visits overseas will be dealt with by Protocol Department). Firm visits should be listed irrespective of timescales but agreed visits should be listed up to six months ahead. The status of the visit should be recorded under one of the following categories.

(i) Agreed agreed in principle by both the host and the visitor; and

(ii) Firm date fixed.

3. The purpose of this visit should be recorded in the column headed Type of Visit'. This is intended primarily to show in a word (or two) the nature of the visit, in one of the
