Attorney General since April 1988.
Born 1942. Joined Hong Kong Government as Crown Counsel in 1968. Appointed Deputy Crown Solicitor in February 1981 and promoted to Crown Solicitor in 1982. Married to Sophie Lee, two daughters. Recently separated.
SIR T L YANG
Chief Justice since 14 March 1988.
Born in China on 30 June 1929. He was educated at Soochow
University Law School, Shanghai; University College, London, and Gray's Inn. After being admitted as a Barrister in London in 1954, he joined the Hong Kong Government as a Magistrate in 1956. Subsequently, he became a Senior Magistrate in 1963, a District Judge in 1968, a Judge of the High Court in 1975, a Justice of Appeal in 1980 and a Vice-President of the Appeal Court in 1987. He
is married with two sons.
Sir TL Yang shows a wide interest in matters outside his work and has taken part in a variety of community and charitable activities. He has headed a number of committees of inquiry and was Chairman of the University and Polytechnic Grants Committee from 1981-4.
