Thank you for your letter of 13 January and for
your kind welcome. I do indeed remember our meeting.
My visit here has been a fascinating one. The growth
of Hong Kong in the twelve years since I was last here
is phenomenal and, despite all the problems, I think
Hong Kong's economic position in the region has every
chance of becoming even stronger.
