The Civil Service Occupational Health Service recommend the following inoculations:
Tetanus Polio Typhoid

valid 2-6 months
c) It is essential for members of the party to know their blood groups before going overseas. Those (other than FCO staff) wishing to find out their blood group and have inoculations should go to the Civil Service Occupational Health Service at Tilbury House, Petty France, to have blood taken for this, and also if they wish to know if they have Hepatitis A antibodies (for appointments, telephone 273 6331). FCO staff should go to the FCO Medical Unit at St Thomas' Hospital (for appointments, telephone 928 4898). The Blood Group Card and Hepatitis A results are sent by post. Members of the party should carry this card with them when travelling
overseas.

BAGGAGE
The First and Club Class baggage allowance on commercial flights is 30 kgs.
b) Additionally, all passengers are allowed one piece of cabin baggage, the dimensions of which when added together do not exceed 114 cms (45 ins).
c) Baggage labels, colour coded as follows, are enclosed:
i)

ii) Furama Hotel
Red Blue
iii) Official items - White
All items to be cabin-loaded must in addition bear a YELLOW label.
a) Unused labels must be kept under safe cover and returned to Conference Section.

INSURANCE
No refund of insurance premium is payable from public funds for officers on short term visits overseas. When the personal property (other than money or luxury articles) of an officer sent overseas on a short term visit is lost or damaged during transit to or from the UK or while he or she is in receipt of subsistence allowance during their stay overseas and the loss or damage is not covered by an existing insurance policy, and the officer has not been negligent, compensation may be paid
