Although there are no issues of substance to raise,

considerably over last three years. Now more

Festival will reinforce this.
- Good to see UK exports to Japan increase by 30% in 1989. Hope that you will continue to help us to achieve "Opportunity Japan" campaign target of doubling UK exports over three years by the end of 1990. Reduction in growth of Japan's trade surplus
with UK has greatly helped to ease the trade
friction that once marked our relations. Need to
maintain this process.
