As you will understand from the above this is only an intermediate reply and there is still considerable work still to be done. I will require the files with Hong Kong's information about Japanese currency issue, details of the reparations negotiations, and confirmation that currency holdings in Malaya were destroyed. I also need confirmation of, and the references to, the information I have received from the Imperial War Museum. Because of this, if you send a reply to the Hong Kong Reparations Association, I would be grateful if you could ask for more specific details of their claims about other countries refunds or compensation. Such details would provide invaluable guidance checking the substance of their claims.
