Ordinary election of members
of the Legislative Council
(1) An ordinary election to elect all the members of the
Legislative Council in respect of all the constituencies
declared under section 3(1)(aa) shall be held
(a) in 1991; and
(b)
in each succeeding fourth year after an ordinary
election is held under this section.
(2) An ordinary election shall be held under this section
within 90 days after a dissolution of the Legislative Council.
(3) The date for holding an ordinary election under this
section shall be appointed by the Governor by notice in the
Gazette.
(4) The election of any person elected as a member of the
Legislative Council under this section shall be published in
accordance with regulations made under section 28.
