1991 LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL : ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL CONSTITUENCIES

INTRODUCTION
At the meeting held on 20 February 1990, Members considered memorandum XCX (90) 14 (Annex) and asked that a further paper be submitted outlining the pros and cons of various new functional constituencies proposed for the 1991 legislature.
RECOMMENDATIONS

It is recommended that
-
(a) the Municipal Councils and the engineering
included
functional constituencies in the 1991 legislature; and
(b)
sector
be
as
consideration be given to which of the other sectors discussed at the meeting (i.e. Heung Yee Kuk, stockbroking etc, tourism and non schools teaching) should also be included.
