Dear Sir,
I am writing to you as a resident of your constituency to express my deepest astonishment at the prosecution of the proponents of Democracy on the BRITISH Island of Hong Kong.
If this action is taken to trial and the defendants are found guilty of "using a megaphone in a public place" as reported on The World at One, BBC Radio 4 Wednesday 18 July 1990, it will be seen by the rest of the world as another serious instance of the new wave of anti-democratic thinking by the present British administration in Westminster, and in particular, of the Conservative Party.
I hope that you will be able to provide an explanation of this outrageous incident, of which I, as a British Citizen am thoroughly ashamed.
Yours faithfully,
No CGght
