REVIEW OF THE HONG KONG WAR MEMORIAL FUND: XCC (90) 167
DECISION
that
The Council ADVISED and the Governor ORDERED
(a)
beneficiaries
under the present Hong
Kong War Memorial Fund should be awarded
pensions as
recognition
a statutory right in
of their war-time suffering;
and
(b) the
income threshold requirement
beneficiaries of the Fund be removed,
for
subject to the provision of the necessary funds by
the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council;
