1.
I understand that Mr Stone may already have sought your views about how we should reply to various MPs' letters about the decisionof the Hong Kong authorities to prosecute
certain individuals for offences committed under the Summary
Offences Ordinance.
2. I would like to reply in a somewhat different way to
that suggested by Mr Stone. I attach revised drafts, on
which I would welcome your comments.
