I am writing to let you know that the Office of the Executive and Legislative Councils of Hong Kong (OMELCO) now has a permanent representative in London. Our address and telephone numbers are as above.
I have been appointed as Head of the OMELCO London Office with effect from the beginning of April. You may already know my colleague, Mr. Ross Clarke, who will be continuing with his work as Public Relations Adviser. We both have considerable experience of Hong Kong. Ross has worked for twenty-three years in the media field, both in public and private sectors, while I have worked in the Hong Kong Government for ten years. My service includes work on the negotiation of the Joint Declaration on the Future of Hong Kong, service as Secretary of the Executive Council (Hong Kong's Cabinet) and Manager of the Legislative Council (Hong Kong's Parliament), service in the British Embassy in Beijing and preparatory work on the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Bill.
